what we believe
WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues which is the initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

mission statement
MISSION STATEMENT

Together we can and together we will equip people for the work of the Gospel, growth of the community, and the Kingdom of God!

community involvement
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

At New Life Centre we are local missions focused. We look at the local community as our first and major mission’s field, because as the local church grows impacting the people next door, the next street and the next neighborhood, the next town etc, then eventually we as a much larger group of believers will be of more influence and better effect for the Kingdom of God. As one of the mission arms or outreaches of NLC we have begun Life Care Mundubbera (LCM).

LCM's mission statement, ‘Doing Life with Love to enhance the emotional, physical & spiritual wellbeing of our community’. LCM runs a Foodbank one day a week which is open to those in need. We also provide secondhand clothing/furniture (when in stock) at a very affordable price on days of Foodbank. There are several more aspects to LCM so follow the link to see what more LCM brings to the local region.

church history
CHURCH HISTORY

In the 1920's a miracle healing from God, experienced by a Mundubbera lady created a stir in the area which led to the beginning of the church. As an outreach congregation from Maryborough The Mundubbera Assembly became autonomous in the 1930's.

Services were held in homes around Mundubbera and Branch Creek area. They bought a block of land at 32 Stuart Russell St in the 1940's and built the church building in 1949 and it still stands today and is the current church Building (2016).

Some changes have been made. A new building is being planned for the spare block next door that the church owns. The Church has a rich history in God, what a great legacy to carry on.
